The word “grok” comes from the science fiction book Stranger in a Strange Land by Robert A. Heinlein. As defined in the novel, “Grok means to understand so thoroughly that the observer becomes a part of the observed” and has come to mean (especially in tech circles) that you not just know something, but you completely understand it or you ‘get it.’ It was one of our favorite terms and we felt that it captures the essence of UHF Gen 2 RFID, to help you ‘get’ your stuff - whether that means identify it, locate it, track it, inventory it - however you need to get your stuff, you need to grok it, hence U Grok It. |
